Tea? (Part 1)

Morning all.

Hot Chocolate and Jaffa cakes in abundance from me.... well, I'm off for 5-a-side at dinner so I'm allowed to stuff my face full of rubbish first (Arch's Law of Eating, rule 1).

Good grief. I've just returned from avian midwifery duties. Anode had to work hard to produce today's offering..

Poor girl was *squealing* and in obvious discomfort. It was just like a woman having labour pains... poor hen!

'tis remarkably quiet today, just got back from a long lunch with a friend only to get caught in the rain. I appear to be steaming slightly as I write this!

Kettles on, rinse yer mugs and start a queue.

I have discovered how to have fun with hens this afternoon. Basically put pile of mealworms on floor of run and stand back. The ensuing bun-fight is hilarious. Especially when you throw in the odd grape for avian dessert. I was almost PIMPL.. All hen dignity goes out of the window and it's every hen for herself. Imagine hens playing rugby, where the ball is replaced by a pile of mealworms, and then think scrumdown. The felines of Chateau Wafflycat were most bemused by the proceedings.

It is very quiet. But I hasten to add that I will not be making a lot of noise. I feel too unwell, and weak and icckky to do very much at all.
The only "point" is that I have stopped feeling worse and worse each day, as I have done for the last three weeks. If we get some warm sunshine, I could try and get some fresh air by sitting out on the patio.
