Phew, just got in from a hot and hard 38 miler (longest ride so far this year...;)) and I need a bukkit of tea, right now!

Spikes - My mum makes a very fine dessert with ginger biskits dunked in Amaretto and layered in a bowl with whipped cream. Very soothing if you're feeling a bit low. I'll whip some up for you along with a gentle hug. ;)

Feeling ...slightly better than yesterday evening, so thanks for the hugs etc. Just been bagging me bike for the trek down to Mont Ventoux in the morning.Manages to get a CC jersey for the obligitary summit photo too. Nothing like a long hard ride to get all your problems into perspective.

*snigger*
I said 'hard ride'
*snork*

Hugs to anyone who needs them, and a manly one for Chuffy. And an especially gentle one for Speicher

Speicher,
If you crack the peppercorns and sieve them out of the tea you might find it nicer. I do this for Ms. tdr1nka otherwise she wouldn't entertain drinking any medicinal infusions I give her!

The spiced tea I refer to doesn't have peppercorns in it. It's the finely ground stuff. Plus, it's in teabags (the only tea I do have that's in teabags), so you don't get any bits floating about. The tea is quite delicious & refreshing; indeed I'm about to partake of a mug of it made for me by my dear Mr Wafflycat

I'm not sure that Speicher is suffin with cold but a tip passed down from my Grandfather is, at the first signs of a heavy cold, count out twenty peppercorns and then pop them in your gob really mash and chew them up, then wash them down with water.

I will admit to being somewhat reticent to try this medicine but then he swore by it's properties for seeing off a cold.

TheDoctor have you got a support person/s or vehicle for your conquering of Mont Ventoux? When you say "trek down to" is that because you are driving down?

I hope you have a wonderful time, and good weather. ;)
