It's a positive Serengeti out there in the grounds of Wafflycat Manor! Look what I had a chance encounter with a little while ago...

It's a nice garden for wildlife because I do naff all to it! It's basically green. Green in colour and the fact I don't use 'chemicals' (I use the term loosely) on it. So I have lots of what gardening folk refer to as *weeds* and *nettles* but I do get to see lizards, kingfishers, watervoles (well, until the mink arrived), all sorts of birds, deer...

I have the kind of garden one of those garden makeover programmes would love to get their hands on...

I mowed a slow worm last weekend.
Baggy had to do the decent thing with a spade.

Lots of other creatures around, no chemicals on our garden either, although there may be some beer traps appearing soon for the slugs and snails.

The neighbour's duck likes worms but snails are a bit too much for him to handle. Could I post you some? I has a manytude of them...

The snails have to be little ones. They can't manage to get the big ones out of the shells. The little ones get eaten shells and all. In these parts, the big ones end up as fish food...

Ah one, ah two, ah three.. Come one everyone, sing!

I like a nice cup of tea in the morning
Just to start the day you see
And at half-past eleven
Well my idea of Heaven
Is a nice cup of tea
I like a nice cup of tea with my dinner,
And a nice cup of tea with my tea,
And when it’s time for bed,
There’s a lot to be said,
For a nice cup of tea!

I have hiccups, think I've had one too many lagers. Time to switch to the more sensible drink of tea. Anyone got as pot going?

Is it my imagination, or did your horse used to run the other way?

Yes tea please. I have brought some ginger biskits with me, excellent for dunking, but you need to snap them in half first, unless you are have a large mug.
