You'll be needing a cup of tea to cheer you up then!
Are there not public holidays in Germany that fall when the Brits are working (forgive the oxymoron)?

There are on average more public holidays than in Britain (the good news), but they always fall on the same date each year. This means - the bad news - that you lose them if they happen to fall on the weekend. So depending on the calendar, some years are pretty bleak, whereas as others seem to be one long public holiday.

It may be a German company, but I am now off to choose between an Earl Grey or a Sir Winston.

Well, I'm about to do lunch.

How's this for local food: the girls have produced an egg each again today, so Mr Wafflycat & I will be having scrambled (or poached) eggs from the girls, with a side order of locally-grown fresh asparagus.

Yummy!!

The weather has just turned nice here. Not sure whether I should go out or not.

Go on, you know you want to .

I've been quite industrious today. Got up relatively early for me on a non-work day (8:50). Thought I'd take advantage of the fabulous weather we are having today and cut the grass, done two loads of washing and done the washing up (which for me is a miracle in itself). I am thinking of hoovering, but I don't want to overdo it.

My dinner is in the oven, so I'm waiting for that, then I'm very tempted to go for a little pootle about on the bike somewhere.

In the interim, anyone fancy a cuppa?

*hands out tea*

It really is quite a nice day Plax. I'm just being a wuss. Went out for a 10 mile walk on Saturday and a ride and my legs ached quite a bit on Sunday and then thought who cares and went for 17 miles yesterday. However thinking of cycling to Leeds for the challenge soon so had the idea of checking out some trails and country lanes to the north.

I'll have a cuppa.

Ahh, no worries then. Hard to tell sometimes without face to face and voices.
