Indeed I did. It climbs well, and corners nicely at 70 kph...
Off to bed now. Nighty night...

Nos Da! Glad you made it up the hill xx(.

Do you have some pics to indulge us with?

Cheers peeps. It's been a tough few days.
However light your bike is, it still isn't easy carrying it in a bag. And as I discovered, during the last stages of a tough climb you're always in need of a gear lower than the lowest one you have...
Yes, they're called feet! xx(
Good to have you back matey. I read Put Me Back On My Bike a couple of weeks ago (copy available if you haven't already) and I'm very jealous. I hate hills but I feel that actually I should have a crack at Ventoux one day.

If I wear my sunhat and sunglasses, people might not recognise me. xx(
For some reason I've got a couple of film scenes in mind. One is from Swordfish and features Halle Berry. The other is from the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair and features Rene Russo.

Naughty...xx(

Ah, yes, the 24" gear. Actually, I have a 25 inch gear on the bike already, and it was only just low enough. The shame...

It's worth doing. The top 6K are probably not worth doing twice though. The scenery all over that area is fantastic - the Gorge de Nesque from near Carpentras to Sault is well worth cycling along.

I'll get some photos up shortly, once I've persuaded the camera to talk to the PC. I think I might need a new USB lead...

Well, I was up early. Sorted out the felines & the hens. Francis caught a nice fat, juicy vole and ran off into the undergrowth with it firmly clamped in his jaws... Anode has laid a nice large egg. Both the girls have been enjoying breakfast followed by a dust bath. I've mowed the lawn (again...) and watered the plants in pots. It's hot out there already and the girls have had a visitor.
