More comfortable. I got mine from Bikeplus btw.
When you get it, ask/look on here for advice on how to look after it. DO NOT TOUCH THE TENSION BOLT!

Sweating profusely is good for you.
Cotswolds eh? That's where I did most of my cycling when I started again (about 5 years ago). Broadway is nice, also Stow in the Wold. ;)

When my dear Tom and I toured the Cotswolds (his home ground) for a week in his H van, we kept coming to road junctions where the place we wanted to go wasn't marked, but Stow on the Wold always was. As a result we developed a sort of catchphrase: "But we don't want to GO to Stow on the Wold", said in ever increasing tones of frustration. I can't see the name now without thinking of it... That was a great week. Despite the 6" of snow that fell the night we were camping out in the van...

Well, there's been a lot of Tea? to catch up with! I need a cuppa now! Just about to post the jersey handover from yesterday. What a scorcher of a weekend, my arms are quite pink, and I have the inevitable watch strap mark - why do I NEVER think to take I off for the day?

Oh, and a tip. If you leave your windows open to ventilate the flat while you are out (it being on the second floor, security is not an issue), draw the curtain across, or something, to prevent a pigeon getting in while you are out, flapping round disturbing things on shelves, pooing on your duvet and then leaving. Go on, ask me how I know this...;)

Hey Arch! tell me, how do you happen to know this?
A bird in the house is worth poo on the duvet!

Good to have yer back!

Tea?

Well, I'm assuming it was a pigeon from the size of the poo. And I have had a collared dove come and sit on my window box, so it may haven been that. At least it had the sense to get out again eventually, unlike the wasp I'd had in earlier in the morning, darn thing. I'm afraid when it comes to wasps my care for the animal kingdom dissolves and when it wouldn't leave by the windows, I zapped it with fly spray. And then felt guilty.

It's good to be back, although I loved my week staying with Oli. I have been corrupting him:

and even worse!:

We think he is going to be a geek. He loves anything with a cable attached (nice to pull on!) or any mobile phone or remote control (good to gum). They've let him have an old remote from the video to play with, and he sits and presses the buttons... Also, he is crawling like a commando, and needs Keeping an Eye On, all the time. Won't be long before he's walking I reckon, he just needs the strength to lock his hips...

Yes, I hadn't read the Bill Bryson before, my sister had it, what a great book!

Yeah, Oli is going to be be into everything soon. Realising he could just about crawl up the step into the kitchen was a bit sobering....

He also has a fascination with doorknobs - always reaching out for them as you carry him past. Not sure what THAT signifies!
