Greetings all! Good news this morning - they've had enough of me! (The physio department)

C'mon Arch, spill the beans - exactly how many games of solitaire have you played since you got your laptop back? (To the nearest thousand'll do!)

Honestly?

One.

No, really. I did make sure I changed the default wallpaper to a photo though, and that sort of thing, and copying all my pictures and stuff back took a little while.

Good news on the physio!

Oh! I'm not here. No, really, I'm not...

As suspected, the non-drive side bearing race had collapsed. The corpse was dismembered last night, and will be "re-animated" with the help of some "donor parts" from "the morgue"!

I am becoming more convinced each week, that I may be occupying some sort of paralell universe. On my travels in this town today, I noticed the following. One bike outside the pub, not locked up. Litter by a doctors' surgery that is now boarded up amounted to precisely one half dozen of those monster munch crispy thingies, (not the wrappers, just the crisps)and graffiti on a wall - the word "shoot".

On my journey today I noticed three cyclists jumping red lights and a bus that drove for over a mile hugging the kerb in the solid white line cycle lane even though there was plenty of motor vehicle lane under its off side tyres.

I also noticed two minicabs jumping red lights 2-3 seconds after the red.

I tried not to notice a woman wearing next to nothing but a flimsy thin dressing gown who I was calling on for a freecycle collection.

I appear to be completely surrounded by bikes. Six complete ones, and a DynaTech frame in the airing cupboard (!) WTF is going on?
I'll put the kettle on and ponder this...

At anytime I want to repress any 'sinful' thoughts I always try to think of
of something seriously 'unsexy'.

My favorite is to remember laying on stony ground under a long wheel base Dodge 50 in the p*ss*ng rain, covered in gear box oil and balancing the bell housing on my chest while my 'fried' stands in a dry & heated garage nearby absently drinking tea and trying to work how to position the thrust bearing.

xx(

Now there's a sinful thought if ever there was one! Once I learn how to unpringle a wheel there's a perfectly good cruiser with a 4 speed Nexus hub gear just itching to go on a long trip to Ireland...
