I dread Waffles seeing a post from that Large Hardon Collider.
The world will end in a tide of innuendo...

I've already made various comments to the purveyor of tiny holes.

Not long back from taking MrW to horse spittle. He now has a new plaster on it. He also has a sexy (not) sandal type thing put on with loads of Velcro... He's been told he can now walk on it, as pain allows. Of course, when the person doing his plaster said "as pain allows" I had a mental vision of self with riding crop and "You will walk!" I am a bad woman

Hello all!

Excellent news on the job front Speicher! Sounds ideal. In fact, it sounds ideal for me, but it'd be a heck of a commute, so I'm sure you'll do much better....;)

I've said I'll do one day of recycling next week - I can't take on too much, as I have PhD to do, and various things are eating up time in the next few weeks...

Oh, I was in Hornsea on Saturday and saw that our lovely Waffles is getting about a bit...

Only a pound! Seems a bit cheap to me....

Dear me, I never realised my bike set up was going to cause so much harumphing. I think back to the day I told Mike Burrows I'd put risers on the FCR. He punched my arm and asked "Why!" and I said "Because it's more comfortable" and he said "oh, well, fair enough". If the world's greatest bicycle designer reckons that's reason enough, it's reason enough for me....

No hurrumphing Arch, it's a very nice bike and needs no excuses.
Bar ends on risers, for no reason reason, flags up in my mind the same way someone wearing a cyle helmet the wrong way round does?

Tea?

Tea?

I'd never thought of it as odd at all! It's purely to allow a few extra hand positions on long rides as even risers only allow one... And I tend to find drops hard to get on with... And I've never worn my helmet the wrong way round...

I suppose for real neatness, I'd have butterfly bars, but if risers and bar ends does the trick, and can be done for fewer pence....

Yes please to the tea....

It's a kind of mental block I'm getting and the feelings are not that the bar set up is wrong, just visually it confuses my memory map of handlebar setups!

Tea for thee...... and one for me!;)

Have just dined. The evening meal at Chez Wafflycat was a pork leg steak (done in the oven in garlic, butter & olive oil0 on a bed of finely shredded cabbage (provided by my lovely neighbour Bill), shredded shallots, peas, green beans and bacon, all cooked together in a pan, with olive oil, garlic, black pepper and a dressing of balsamic vinegar.

YUM.
