Ok, depending on what time of day you arrive I'd suggest you come out of St. Pancras taking the Pancras St. exit turn right and follow down the taxi rank(between St.P & Kings Cross stations)to the lights.
Turn left onto Euston Rd, past the front of Kings Cross and straight ahead onto Pentonville Rd. This stretch is one way. At the first cross roads get over to the right and take the feeder lane onto Kings Cross Rd.
Keep on this road, it will bend to the right and after the lights you keep to the left, you will then come up to a cross road at a huge main post office(Mount Pleasant)on your right, go straight over. The road then becomes Farringdon Rd.
Keep heading down Farringdon Rd until you pass under Holborn Viaduct and at the next big cross road you turn right into the bottom of Fleet St.
It's probably the most direct way to get there and the rat runs in this area have one way streets etc. Just watch out for Taxi's and give them a wide berth, they can be quite agressive round those parts.
