I just read Waffles' gammon recipe to TheDoctor, and he asked me to look up trains to Norfolk....
We've had a strenuous day, pottered to the cafe for tea and bacon and sausage butties, then up to Tesco for odds and ends and a paper, then out for a nice ride, taking in both Ashwell and Radwell village halls, both of which were serving tea and cake for the last time this summer. Ashwell had a particularly fine looking cat brain cake, which was so moist and crumbly, it had lost a fair bit of structural integrity, and was being served not so much in slices, as in heaps... (especially by the two Brownies (the baby girl guide sort, not the cake sort) who were helping out, and who carried a tray of tea and cake outside between them, leading us to expect off-stage comic crashing crockery noises). Tea and a heap of cake anyone?
So now, we've chilled out with the paper, and while I mooch about online, TheDoctor is doing something creative with chicken and curry spices, and we're both wondering were the hell his doorkey is, it having vanished since him using it to get in last night, and us going out this morning. I seem to remember Tdr1nka has a knack for finding such stuff - any suggestions? We've already been reduced to looking in the fridge. Luckily, there is a spare... Key, not fridge.
