Daleks seem to be all sorts of colours. Since Doctor Who came back, they've mostly been bronze, but there's been black ones too. The Cult of Skaro were black Daleks.
I've been thinking about this way too much...

And the red dalek was invisible to other daleks as daleks can't see red. I know this from the Doctor Who annual I had as a child.
