I had some sauteed leeks left over from last night's meal. Used them up at lunchtime for cheese on toast with a twist. I grated some decently strong cheddar. Then I mixed in a couple of The Laydeez's eggs. Added the leeks, a generous amount of black pepper and a dash of paprika. Made toast. Spread the toast with the cheesy-eggy-leek mixture and shoved it under the grill until it was bubbling and golden on top.
It was seriously moreish.
This evening's meal will be pasta. My lovely neighbour Bill has just given me a huge bag of the last of his tomatoes. So I'm going to make my special fresh tomato sauce to go with pasta.
YUM.

Any excuse. Nice avatar but it was taken after Jo was in the show. In the 60s movies the Daleks came in quite a few colours as Wafflycat has said. There were different coloured Daleks in some of the Pertwee stories but after that they tended to standardise somewhat.

In the first Dalek/Dr. Who film(Peter Cushing as The Doctor) Daleks were powered by an electrical contact in the floor. You could disable a Dalek by putting your coat on the floor as was demonstrated by Roy Castle!
