Hey Milo, sorry to hear your news.

I could have stayed in knitting today, but I figured I needed some fresh air when I found myself nearly crying listening to the Archers, so I came out for a walk in the sun - after 5 hours on a train yesterday, I need the exercise!

Any tea on the go? I'm missing Oli already. Yesterday he tried to put what seemed like a whole rock bun in his mouth at once, and was not pleased when his Mum fished it out again! Still, I'll see them all again at Christmas.

Dry as a dry thing that's really dry here. We were an hour early for *K** so went and had a large breakfast in a Wetherspoons. Amazing how many people were having several beers at 10.15am .

And I only spent £7 in *K**. Result!

I have got a chair from *K**, and it did not cost anything. Some one on Freecycle was giving it away at the same time as my twenty-odd year old suite was falling apart. aahhh those were the days, when you could get given (?) really good things on Freecycle. It is one of those modern bentwood chairs, sort of in an "S" shape with a footstool. Also got some curtain material that I can use to recover the cushions in a brighter colour.

Update on small cat, she will be called Tasha, I think, probably. She has been looking bored and stressed this last few days, so I let her out this afternoon. I think even Leo realised the enormity of the occasion, as he watched her in the garden. She decided it would be excellent fun to climb the big willow tree in the garden. Then ran out of the garden, into the field. About ten mins later a tiny mewing sound was heard followed by said Cat. Coaxed her back in with biskits.

Can I now have some restorative Tea?

I drink nothing else apart from the finest Earl Grey which arrives in a hamper each year from Fortnum & Mason!

Ewww... hot liquid pot pourri... Blech. Not my choice, but I think you may have guessed that! MrW likes Earl Grey but I find the perfume makes me nauseous (not everytime, but enough for me to avoid EG when there's a choice).

Down here in hardwaterland, I find that Yorkshire Tea's hard water blend makes a darned good cuppa. I also use loose tea - Twining's Afternoon Blend is a good one. A friend bought me some Russian Caravan Tea from Fortnum & Mason's and it is rather delicious. This one
