Ewww... hot liquid pot pourri... Blech. Not my choice, but I think you may have guessed that! MrW likes Earl Grey but I find the perfume makes me nauseous (not everytime, but enough for me to avoid EG when there's a choice).

Down here in hardwaterland, I find that Yorkshire Tea's hard water blend makes a darned good cuppa. I also use loose tea - Twining's Afternoon Blend is a good one. A friend bought me some Russian Caravan Tea from Fortnum & Mason's and it is rather delicious. This one

I quite fancy trying some of this

as I already enjoy a spiced tea of another blend.

Good point old chap, I'll check those Tea's out!

Just got the new VAT return... I see Gordon McGloom is doing his best to achieve his stated aims of helping small businesses along to kick start the economy. Previous envelopes to post back the completed VAT return have been 'postage paid'. Now the recession has hit, we've got to put a stamp on the envelopes... ah yes, every little hinderance!

Rumours of some strange additions to the tap water at the Pump House have been strongly proved wrong. Two members of staff are currently pregnant, and my colleague and I, believing that these things happen in threes, were becoming increasingly worried.

News has recently reached us that another member of staff in a "related" organisation has now announced her pregancy. Colleague and I can breathe again. :biggrin::ohmy: Divine dark choc to celebrate I think. :biggrin::bravo:;)

Hello chaps and Chapesses. Pots ready and I offer a veritable smorgasbord of dunkable biscuits. So what's the gossip today?

I'm not really feeling biscuity, can I just have a smorgasboard instead? Ta.

hi
Does anyone make tea like this:
1) Take very large mug (~ 1 pint);
2) Take small pinch of loose tea (Earl Grey or Lapsang Souchong) & drop into bottom of mug;
3) Pour water over, let steep a few minutes, stir and drink?

Makes weak but tasty tea and the leaves stay in the bottom of the mug. I no longer drink Earl Grey by the pot & this is about all I want.

Oh and does anyone else here drink Liptons Tea from teabags? Everybody else hates it but I love it..

No, I find that is an extremely inconvenient way to drink tea, I useually use a mug. :biggrin: The tea bag is very small and does not hold its shape very well. :thumbsdown:

I'm a heretic!
Sometimes even the floor-sweepings-in-a-mug is too strong and just drink hot water instead. It is actually much nicer that it sounds (if the water is properly boiled!)
