At least today I got to do the posh round, the one where all the cans are washed out properly, and the newspapers are all broadsheets. And a lady gave us each a biscuit.

I'm mostly staying in today to avoid the idiots on the road in the snow. Did have to get a replacement headlight bulb earlier on though.

Something good has come out of the last month. The tax man has given me back £1200. It'll just cover my overdraft. Means that had I been taxed correctly I probably wouldn't have had an overdraft and it's interest charges! Still, I might spend my overdraft on something for Christmas.

Cold today, isn't it. It's an extra straw in the henhouse day, to keep The Laydeez snug. The cats just use the humans to keep snug & warm. In keeping with cold weather warmth, the evening meal at Chez Wafflycat is homemade cottage pie, with roasted butternut squash, carrots, green beans & brussels sprouts. That should do the trick.

I must have something wrong with my eyes, or so thought the driver behind me today. I was waiting to turn left on to a very busy road. The traffic approaches from the right at excessive speed, as it has recently left the motorway. On my right was a transit van. Strangely enough, I could not see through the front of the van to see if there was a gap in the traffic. Someone was waiting to turn right into the road I was exiting, and I presumed that because he was waiting, then the traffic was not clear for me to proceed. To inch forward and stick my bonnet (car) into the road, would have been suidical. However the ******** behind me obviously considered that his time was more valuable than my life or the life of the person who would have broadsided me. So he gesticulated, honked his horn etc, and generally looked like he would explode.

I ignored him, he obviously could not get out of his car at that point.
More gesticulating etc, and smoke coming out of his ears. Still I was determined to value my limbs and those of an on-coming driver.

Immediately after I turn left, I have to go into a slip road and turn right.
This gave me the opportunity to see him dangerously overtake another vehicle. I did give him a bit of a very-unlady-like salute. Why are some people so short of time and patience that they expect others to take extreme risks on their behalf?

Mmmmm. I have a couple of very small lamb chops (clearing the freezer box for the arrival of new lamb chops on Thursday. Lamb chops I was feeding on Monday morning!). I might stop at Morrisons for some potatoes and veg or I might do some cous cous instead. Ah, yes I can do extra and have it for lunch tomorrow.

It was lying snow this morning, I saw a post office van take a corner a little too fast and have his back end slither out rather more than he expected.

Aw, sorry to hear about your dog NT. Sympathetic hug.

Have spent today recycling, in the snow. Not bad actually, I was well wrapped up. Was a good day, until we got back and my colleague decided to use the electric truck to block a car that was trying to (illegally) follow us through the path at the reserve. So they rammed (well, nudged) us from behind, enough to push us along the icy path, so we decided discretion was the better part of valour and got out of the way, whereuopn they came along side, effed and blinded a lot, and then said, get this, "anyway, we should all be trying to get on better, yeah?" before driving off along the foot and bike path. Right,we should all get along, as long as we do what you say...

It's put me into a pit of despondency about the future of the human race.

I'm getting tired of being pushed around whilst recycling. The manager decided not to contact the police for fear of repercussions. I'm just glad nothing more happened to Arch and Chad.

The vehicle that we use should not be on the road. Its meant for ferrying stuff around airports. The company I we work for has been ripped off by Bradshaws, who haven't got a clue how to fix any of the faults.

We are forced to cram it full of stuff because we can't make a return journey, making it even more unsafe. When it gets dark we have to limp back and not use the lights for fear that we will brake down and have to push it back.

When it has charged we can only do about 7mph so we we see some horrific over taking, which sometime has me covering my eyes.

To be fair to Beryl (that's the vehicle, for those not in the know), it's not her fault that those chav bullies pushed us around. I'd have been interested to see what would have happened if Chad had put her in reverse and pushed back (We had 3 full paper backs on board, which must have weighed a fair bit), but he was probably right to give in while the going was good.

I spent a lot of yesterday evening feeling very angry about those pillocks. It's people like that who make me in favour of people like me being given guns and the right to shoot on the spot.

On the other hand, I had a nice lamb chop and cous cous dinner and my TV aerial is working again, so I could watch TV without a blizzard.

Mornings! Tea's a-suppin, and my extremities are re-warming!
How are we all? Have (rightly piqued) tempers calmed? Has lurgy disappeared? Would anyone like a choclate Hobnob?

What they need is for someone close to them to die in a traffic accident.

Harsh, but it would make them think. For about a week or so.

I cannot understand why I thought I would stick the bonnet of my car out into fast moving traffic. Even if the van to my right had moved off to turn right, he needs less time to get out of the way of traffic coming from the right, than I do, when I am turning left and then immediately right. I cross that junction regularly, and as it is a staggered junction on a busy road, it is extremely dangerous if you do not have a wide margin for error.
