Bear in mind I'm in a flat with no double glazing and no heating except for the fan heater, which I don't want on while I'm asleep for fire safety reasons. There is one wall mounted storage heater, but experience has shown it to be fairly useless.

Speicher - snakes are popular as pets I think. I think lizards might bite, if provoked, but only then. And there're gekkos and cameel... cameal... those colour changy ones....

chameleons?

I think I could cope with small reptiles if they do not bite. I think they would only use fairly placcid animals, at least to start with, in case people handled them awkwardly.

BTW did you hear the shrieks and howls at about 5pm today. That was me putting Tasha in the cat box. We had a wonderful half an hour of me trying to catch her to take her to the Vet. (routine injections). Once in the box and while at the Vet she was fine. Tasha and Leo have discovered a game they like to play late at night, tig, and who can attack the mat in the lounge. ;);)

Electric heaters and no double glazing Arch... sounds like you need a lot of cuppas and a lot of jumpers!

I need something.... hmm - Swiss rolls and Jaffa Cakes for dinner!

Wot about Orange Viscount biskits? no I haven't got any, but might get some tomorrow. ;)

Suggestion...

Leave the cat box out in the house, open, so the cats become used to it and over time, they'll pop in and out of it. Keep a blanket in it and they'll start using it as a bed - makes it so much easier when it comes to vet time.
