Well! I only miss a day or two, and there's pages and pages to catch up on!

I came home to find the kitchen looked like a fox had been at Waffles' ladies. My mother has been making feather cushions, by reusing the feathers out of a big cushion she was given. Her sewing is impecable, so that's not the problem - she had to wash them and some of them escaped during drying. Feathers are very pervasive, and everytime she hoovers up, after a while, some more settle out of the air... Everyone else has Santa Claus. We have Feather Christmas...

Still, my sister and family arrive tomorrow, and we're almost ready, just some baking and cooking to do...

Anyway, have fun over the next couple of days - the box room with the computer in becomes Oli's bedroom tomorrow, so I'll be offline for a bit...

Having read your numerous posts on the subject, that was the very thing I had in mind to do. We only took the duck man's hens because they breed all over the place and he had more of them at the time than he knew what to do with. (And there was one he was afraid of - she went for him every time he tried to take her eggs).

If we do this, can you suggest any other witty battery-related names? Did you ever have a Di, for example?
