I'm enjoying my first cuppa of the day and I am beside myself with excitement. Simon Richardson has been awarded an MBE and it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. I am so very chuffed for him (& Amanda, his wife). Sometimes the day just starts off right and this is one of those days!

I have some Scottish shortbread, those triangle ones. I tried to get the Highlander ones, but couldn't. Does the taste change according to the shape?

It has been frosty here all day. A mouse has been caught, and much played with. If I can see it moving when it is presented to me at the back door, I pick it up and put it out of harm's way, but I think this one was frozen to death.

Tea? any left?

and What sort of restaurants or bistros ? do you like? (Just read the NYE thread and noticed you are going to friends)

I like those meals in Thai or Chinese restaurants where you can try lots of different things. Not a buffet, tho, I like the food brought to the table.
The local Thai restaurant does an excellent "Banquet" if a group of people book together.

I might watch Chocolat this evening (the film).

BTW do you all think I put enough smilesys in my posts?

A Friends place - he is cooking me dinner (his GF will be there too and a couple of other friends... not as gay as it sounded )

Not sure what's on the menu but I know it involves Chicken and Potato
Also I am taking a bottle of my finest to consume with dinner...
