Cool. Used to run my old truck on biodiesel made from old chip oil until the place selling it shut down. Coffee biodiesel would smell much better.

How much coffee would I have to drink to fill my tank (that's about 40 litres)? If I bought the all the coffee from Starbucks, how much would it cost? Are we going to see a trend of people asking for the grounds "to go" as well as the coffee?

And the tea dregs left in my teapot sometimes have an oily rainbow effect in them. How much tea would I have to drink?

Morning!

*sips tea*

By it was cold out in the garden this morning! The absolute first job (after going to the loo & getting dressed...) was to see to the animals. The felines are easy - open cat food, place cat food in bowls - place bowls on floor - cats eat food - refresh water in feline drinking bowls.

The Laydeez involve going out in the *cold*. Due to the level of frost out there, this morning is one of the coldes we've had this winter. So I pull on a fleece - go into the unheated utility where the hen food is stored - make up their daily feed mix - also sort out some food for the wild birds at the same time. The I potter off into the garden carrying two big bowls of food. The Laydeez positively quiver with excitement and bob their heads up and down to see what's in the bowls. I see to them first - putting out their new feed into the two feeding bowls they use then I clean out the henhouse of overnight droppings and check for eggs. The overnight stuff goes straight on the compost heap. Then I sort out the wild birds. Lots out there this morning. They do like their fatballs and old apples.

Morning all!!

It's warmed up a bit now here in Northern Finland, it's +1c. Considering that it was -27 last weekend, you do feel the difference.

Also, the sun has risen, just, above the horizon for the first time in about 2 months so the grey blanket that has been sitting over us since then has gone. It looks nice outside.

Summer's coming!!!!

But... but... it's Ribena? :sad::laugh:

Maybe I'll give it a shot - maybe I'll have an instant Hot Choc!
Hot Ribena would bring back memories of them little cups of powder with the hot / cold water dispenser that we had during school dinners (circa 1985). Maxpax I believe they were called... I never really favoured the hot versions

Seems Starbucks already do this, they bag up all their grounds and leave them for people to take away to add to their compost. Their coffee's still cr@p though...

You beat me to it, I was going to say that... About the grounds, I'm not enough of a conn... cone.. expert on coffe to tell if it's good - if it's hot, and frothy, I'm happy.

With regard to the cold, it must have been cold last night, I found this outside the window this morning:

There was ice on the inside as well, melting to form nice frame-rotting puddles. I must give the window frames a going over with a rag to get the mildew off.

Blimey Arch, here's a warming cuppa for ya!

Ta. It's very cold here - the sun is out, but the air temp is really bitingly cold.

Gosh, nearly half twelve, I ought to go home and get some lunch....
