How was your time in York did you get Tea and cake?

I had a lovely time in York, although it was a bit cold out so I didn't actually see much of York! The cake was good but, dare I say, not up to my high standards;).

Spandex, Just in case she did not, I think you should bake us all a cake.

My favourite is coffee and walnut sponge or lemon sponge, or any cake.

Cross posted, but you could still do some baking.

I was thinking about making some scones tomorrow. I have made crumble mix with oats in it, does it work for scones to give them some texture - only one way to find out. Might divide the mix in half, so as not to waste too much if they turn out peculiar.

You made a good point It has been some time since I did some baking apart from bread. I do think that Cross posted cake will not work but I can let you know how it is But if you live close I will be happy to hand it out.

As for HelenD123's high standards I will have to get some training in as you seem to know a bit?

Horribly gusty wind here - the hens are hiding in the henhouse the wind is so awful. There were some spits & spots of rain earlier, but it's mainly that horrible, nasty gusty wind today. Not a good day for riding a bicycle.

Hei. Nimeno on Phil. Haluaisin kaksi oluet kiitos, ja neljakymmenta litraa dieselia. Puhetteko Englanti?

... and that is the extent of my grasp of Finnish. (Worked there for a bit back in the 90s. I was known as "Englantilainen mies" in Jokioionen).
