I think I need to do a snack run myself. Any requests?

Arch - have you been avoiding the thesis again;).

No! Well, not much. It was the weekend! I actually sent some results to my supervisor this afternoon.

Snacks - oooh, there's a question! A bag of wotsits please, and a creme egg. Here's a quid.

<attempts to ram pound coin into USB slot>

Really, I shouldn't, I could do with losing some weight. Although I watched th C4 thing last might about the half tonne boy, so I don't feel soooo bad..

I'm not sure they stock those in the vending machine:wacko:. I think they'd come out covered in the fluff that accumulates in the bottom anyway. Eughhhxx(. Maybe Spandex has some muffins left over from yesterday?

I can't remember the last time I had a coconut pyramid. I'm not sure I even like them all that much, but nostalgia always tastes great. My Dad used to make them, they were moulded in egg cups.

I think my Grandma had a special coconut pyramid mould with a plunger at the top to push the pyramid out of the cone.

oh, how posh!

Actually, we had (were given, it wasn't the sort of thing we would have bought) some rather poncy 'petit four' makers - each was a tube, the cross section of which was the shape of a heart, club, spade or diamond, with a plunger to match. You were meant to layer bread and flavoured stuff (marmite, jam etc) or cake and jam up to the right height and use the tube to cut out the shapes, and then the plunger to push them out. Oh, I think you stuck a cocktail stick down the middle too. I think you were meant to alternate brown and white bread, to create stripes.

One of our birthday party regulars was pinwheel sandwiches. Get an unsliced loaf, and slice it lengthways (not across like normal) and remove crusts. Spread with butter or marg and then filling - something smooth, like marmite or meat paste - and then roll up the slice like a swiss roll. Wrap in foil, refridgerate, and just before required, unwrap and slice into rounds, each of which will have a spiral of filling. Not only could you eat loads of these (like any buffet food, you just kept on and on grazing), but you got to eat the cut off crusts when they were being prepared....

Blimey, I'm hungry now!

Does your vending machine have Bounty bars, or unsalted cripss? please

I don't think so. It's mostly nestle stuff unfortunately which I try to avoid:sad:. I do sucumb to the Rolos occasionally though. Who would like my last one?
