A busy week for me
Today, unpack and do more laundry
Tuesday - training at Oxfam
Wed - appointment at College re Cv up-dating etc, Tai Chi in the evening.
Thurs - visit an Acquired Brain Injury Training Centre to see if I would like to do voluntary work there, from September, possibly. They are planning well in advance, as they do not know how many people they need.
Fri - The Pump House, doing my teensy weensy bit to protect the planet.

Where would I find time to go to work? ;)

Morning Speicher (and a belated morning to the Dr). Are one of those steaming brews for me? (taking one while he asks ;)). You do have a busy life at the moment it seems - best of luck to you and (slurping Tea) cheers for the brew

It would seem that getting back into work is a full-time job in itself. Except that with so many people out of work, the chances of me finding paid employment soon, is fairly remote. People who are retired are looking for part-time work to compensate for their reduced pensions, and people looking for full-time work are taking part-time jobs to tide them over.

The voluntary work at Oxfam is so that I get more experience in using spreadsheets, databases, reports etc. It is within walking distance, so there is no transport costs.

The Voluntary work at the Acquired Brain Injury unit, is because I used to work in a similar set-up. It is a training centre where people learn new skills.

I've just had a meeting with my supervisor, and now have a list of things to read as long as an orang utans arm....

But I have a presentation to do for Thursday first.

And it's nearly lunchtime.

Both. Apologies, that should have been "utan's arm"...

I think I got brownie points for using my very slender fingers to help him replace the bolt that had fallen out of the underneath of his chair, and was very fiddly to get back into place.

Goddammit!
Trying hard not to be impatient while waiting for the call from Brixton Cycles to say my frame has arrived.

In the mean time here is a piccy, taken this weekend, of four tdr1nkas and a prospective son-in-law!

Only one of them has got your eyes Dom...and that's you!

Nice photo - hope your bike comes. Your thread will be useless without Ratpics...
