Afternoon all!

I've just had a very enjoyable lunchtime, getting treated to some S&M.
A small price to pay for sitting through a sales pitch demonstration by some computer bods.

It's very, very, very, loud.

We knew it was loud but we had one of our Elf & Safety people there with a noise meter. Just by the gunner's head, it's about 145 dB. Really very loud indeed.

Only two of us have had official training (in Arizona, no less!). It also has a quite spectacular recoil, so it was quite enjoyable watching our senior H&S guy, and the firearms officer, who hadn't had the training, firing it for the first time. They couldn't believe it would have as much recoil as it did have. Neither actually fell over, but it was close!

Now I have an image of someone being knocked over backwards, the barrel flying up in the air, and the net landing on them as they lie on the ground. OK, I know in physics terms that probably couldn't happen, but it's a funny thought...
