Tea please, just before starting to paint some skirting boards. :smile:

Later on I will be watching Racing from France, with Mr Valverde.
Well er, not with him, :smile: with him in it. :smile:

Then another application form to do, such a hectic day. :biggrin:

Yes please! finished the skirting boards. Now got to touch up (as it were) the bit where the walls join the coving. Cycling starts at 3pm.

The job application is one of those tricky ones - er well I suppose they all are. I have experience in the job in question, but not qualifications to prove it. But in my opinion, for some jobs, no amount of quals gives you the ability to do a job which requires patience in bucketloads, and perhaps dozens of other non-paper-qualifying skills. Proving that you are familiar with Section nine, paragraph 12, subsection B, of the various Acts of Parliament may not be sufficient, say I diplomaticallly.*

I find I can think more clearly in the evening. And the painting needs daylight and the patio doors wide open to get rid of Paint Pong.

* That's me being old-fashioned (again :thumbsup::becool:) but I quite like old-fashioned qualities.

Stop waffling B)
Oh alright then. :thumbsup:

Afternoon!

oooh, flapjack!

I was just behind a lady in Sainsburys, she had £62 discount on her Nectar card, without knowing! I know how much I have to the last point (33 now, having cashed in £2.50).

Kettle's boiled, fresh pot brewing....

The last box of PG I got, it was on a half price deal in Morrissons!

Good scavenging in the reduced goods today - some salad, some egg mayo sandwich filler (a treat, and a change from basics cream cheese), and a pack of Swedish Meatballs, which should divide up into 3 meals worth....

I always feel a bit like a hunter-gatherer, riffling through the bargains....

Out of interest, click on the yellow wavy flag thing at the left of the box/table that shows the cafe threads; this is my 278th post on the tea thread - considerably fewer than most/all of the regulars here! :tongue:

Tea? It's here for everyone, regardless of time wasted in here....:sad:
