Shall I flash my homegrown tomatoes? Grown from seed!

Don't, I'll feel inadequate. I failed to get a single tomato this year.

I'm thinking I might try some cress. Actually, I am thinking that, I want to take some seed when I go to visit Oli next, and do a funny egghead, with a face painted on an eggeshell, and moist cottonwool inside for the cress to grow on, as hair. I'm hoping it might grow within the six days I'm there, and he can have it in a sandwich....

Spoke to my sister last week and, oh! did I mention?

I'm to be an auntie again!

Anyway, spoke to her and apparently Oli can now not only say Train, Steam, Diesel, Track etc, but thanks to the services that run though Winchester, he's having a stab at 'Pendolino'....

And last week, when Daddy asked him where they should go out to, he said "Daddy, Steam, Train, Alresford!" - so not just trains, not just steam trains, but a very specific station (where they sell sandwiches apparently;))

Hurrah indeed....

There's a massive thunderstorm overhead right now. Rain that looks, from inside, like you're in a carwash. With added hail. I'll be here for a bit I think....

Good morning all. Teas missing from the first page, just doing my bit.

Well done!

Tea anyone?

I dunno who was getting buried at the Minster (well, not buried, but having their funeral service), but they warrented 4 police outriders and a lot of be-uniformed bigwigs, and a couple of TV cameras.

Oh hang on, I've looked it up, it was a soldier killed in Afganistan.

Just a touch the wrong side of dismissive Arch!

I was just being factual. I'm just not overly sentimental about people I don't know who die doing dangerous jobs... Would you rather I eulogised insincerely?
