Quiet in here...

Helen, did you book your camping ahead, or play it by ear each day? That's the bit that worries me about being flexible....

I booked the first campsite before I left then took a chance the next two nights. There were campsites marked on the sustrans map and I printed out a list from UKcampsite.co.uk. I also had the numbers for tourist information but they weren't particularly helpful. They didn't know about an accredited campsite that was actually on the route! Very annoying when I passed it the next morning. I wasn't sure how far I'd get each day so didn't want to book it all in advance. It was getting a bit of a hassle though having to think about somewhere new to stay each night.

What's the world coming to? They've shrunk the toasted teacakes at work:angry:. Hopefully it's only a temporary blip.

Tea?

I have never been one to live dangerously, but now I find that custard creams are the most dangerous biscuit. I note on their list it says Nice Biscuits, but I thought all biscuits were nice.

I have know chocolate digestives to be aggresive...

... Or was it the way I was dunking them?

Right! Call out the workforce! Strike!

You'll be able to toast your teacakes on the inevitable brazier on the picket line....

I think we should all call Landslide's bluff and go and decorate his new house, 'Changing Rooms' style. We can have a room each.... Warning, I have a bit of a Rennie Mackintosh fetish.

Dear me, I am becoming the kiss of death in this thread, where is everyone?

Was talking to Mum on the phone yesterday, and got a text from my sister asking was I talking to Mum (clearly, she'd tried to ring both of us). I texted back 'yes' (there's multi-tasking for you, all the while listening to the account of my Mum getting lost in Stoke-on-Trent last week) and got the reply "Ah, I can kill two birds with one stone. Oli has just done a pee and a poo in his potty. How proud am I?!"

So I was able to pass on the good news to Mum....

Poor Oli, I'll be able to tell him about that when he's 18....;)

I'm here! But heading home in a sec. I'm trying to work out what to do with the veg delivery I'm expecting today, nut roast and veggies for tea I think. And then I need to write up that mirror review for Pete and start my write-up of last week's trip.
