Hens are not the brightest creatures on the planet. Indeed I'd go so far as to say they are incredibly dim. But of my four hens I have two which are the hen equivalent of Mensa membership. Since Anode & Cathode discovered the delights of catfood the other day, they have not forgotten it. Now, as soon as the door to the hen run is opened, to let The Laydeez out for a spot of foraging in the garden, Anode & Cathode make a beeline for the house. Straight into the kitchen and beaks into the catfood dishes...

You had the job in the bag before the interview

Well, that's slightly better than a certain person at the next desk who said, when I worried that there might be someone better interviewed...

"oh, it'll be fine, after all, better the devil you know...."

Helen, the plan is exactly as you say - pay off the debts (well the little ones I don't think the student loan is ever going to get paid off!) and then save up for a grand tour.

Talking of which, I did some fettling at the weekend, and have the Galaxy frame, wheels, saddle, mudguards, rack and handlebars fitted together. I was going to post a pic, but I seem to have failed to transfer one to my portable hard drive. Anyway, he looks like a bike, and a rather pretty one at that. Just the complicated bits to buy and fit now!

Speicher, it is encouraging when you can get into shorts again isn't it? I did it at the weekend with some 3/4 lengths my sister got me a while ago from Primark - I told her to get 14's and discovered I'd gone up to 16. Saturday, I wore them out in town. It's a long slow process, but it's mainly been quite painless, a combination of a bit more activity and a little less dinner.

Oh, and I went to Otley and back, via Harrogate yesterday. 85 miles, including some stupidly lumpy bits.

The other day, I found an elephant in on my tee shirt.:blush::biggrin:

I think you should buy yourself at least one new tee shirt, unless you can spot an anomaly between the elephant and the vegetation.

Oh yes, I should look at those, cheers.

Arch, would you like to put your computer skills to good use? Why is it that when I search on the JobCentrePlus site for part-time jobs within a 10 mile radius of here, the first job listed in the results is a full-time post in Doncaster?

Anyone else for Tea?

I will watch that new series tonight - Fast Forward IIRC? From the trailers, I have guessified the following.

A species from another planet has landed on this planet. But they had to come back again, previous to their first visit, to remove the memories of their visit. I could be completely wrong.:biggrin::laugh: That's how I would write it anyway.

More tea? or Russian Champagne?

I am confused. If the tearoom is being redecorated where are we just now? ;)

Pot of tea on the brew for anyone that wants some.
