Morning all!

Doc, TD: Did one of you go for the extra-hot option last night?

Count me in!

I'm still giggling at TheDoc' who last night was shouting, 'You're going to get killed!' at all the RLJ'ers we saw on our ride. Needless to say after 10 mins of riding in London traffic he had almost lost his voice. ;)

Ah, tea, and noodles for lunch. I've managed to do a few errands, and buy a couple of Christmas pressies, and do 9 miles, hampered only slightly by the swollen river up over the riverside path. The morning was bright, but blustery, and right on cue as I've got home, it's started to rain....

As so many peeps on this thread are into recycling, I thought you might be interested in all the recent arrivals at Worcester Resource Exchange.
Please be aware that, not all these items originate in Worcestershire, some are from Wiltshire and other counties. I would not want you to erroneously think that we are a wasteful bunch of peeps this far west! ;)

velcro,
ribbon,
white meshy squishy fabric,
neoprene circles that make great frizbees (only they won't work if you throw them in the scrapstore),
white sticky back felt circles,
black sticky back foam circles,
white foam circles are back too!
silver paper,
inflatable nun chucks (we're not into all that danger stuff),
satin off cuts,
Dins went to Blackpool and wasted no time on rock n tacky hats but instead brought back;
super shiney gold and silver card,
sponge bob goodies,
robot pictures in frames,
silver sparkly grotto trimming type stuff (you can't miss it when you get here, it's EVERYWHERE,
toiletery bags,
blue,white and black thin foam,
tigger coloured wool,
hairclips,
cream card,
zips,
fur off cuts,
calico with pretty patterns,
coloured cellophane,
funky coloured plastic tubes,
cardboard tubes with lurve hearts on them,
zips,
beanbags covers,
gargantuous garlands,

Unfortunately, I cannot see materials that would be good for making trackside models for Arch's er sorry  Leo's railway.

Is anyone planning a fancy dress party?
Does anyone know what a nun chuck is, and why it has the propensity to be dangerous? Tigger coloured wool, would that be orange or orange and brown stripey?

You have a removal van or six handy then?

The Resource Centre is the size of a football pitch and is very full! ;)
Have you got anything similar in your area?

I am going out now for the procurement of bread, cakes, vegetables, biskits, and other exciting edible items.

Leo? Who's that? Do you mean Oli?

Aren't nun chucks those things that are two sticks joined with a length of chain that you whirl round your head in martial arts to hit people with? I guess the inflatable ones are for comedy value....

Coo, it does sound like the biggest bestest craft box!

Much apologising to Arch, yes I did mean Oli.

There are mitigating circumstances. I used to have a cat called Ollie, and now I have a cat called Leo. Please excuse the mistake. Leo would, however, enjoy playing with a train set. He might chase the wagons for a bit, then fall asleep in the middle of the track.:laugh:

The shop that had the knitted Christmas tree last year, will, I am reliably informed, have a knitted Noah's Ark this year. Memo to self re: taking camera to secure photographic evidence.
