Yeh its the same with me, I still have 20 plants to learn and a soil science essay to write. However I now have a very clean house all ready for when Bikepete gets in from his trip to London.

I'm now thinking of popping into town to get a railcard and possibly get my hair cut. Oh I also need to go to St Nicks to drop the car keys off to the person I car share with.

hampered only slightly by the swollen river up over the riverside path.

Ah yes. I was in town on Sunday morning. My yellow bike was made seriously muddy by that river and the slime it left behind.

It shouldn't be allowed. My hands got really cold washing it afterwards!

My car told me it was 4 deg this morning. Coldest so far this year. And before anyone says I should have been on my bike I had to be home quickly to let in some tradesmen (can you tell I'm feeling guilty...).

I think it's because I'm riding with a bag over my shoulder but I keep getting very cold shoulders after I've been out on the bike.:becool:

I get a cold bum:blush:.

Ta, Arch.

This evening's supper is a filling, but exceptionally healthy wholemeal penne with homemade arrabiata sauce and garliky chicken breasts. A total of 6.5points of yumminess.

ooh, sounds nice. I'm trying to think of something quick and warming to do with some cheap sausages. I've only just had a bout of tomato sauce dinners, so I might so something with pesto, olives and peppers on spaghetti.

TheDoctor wishes to confess his sins.

I have spent the afternoon on an airfield circuit, driving a Lotus Elise, a Caterham Seven and a Ferrari 360 Modena.
The Elise was phenomenal - really grippy, capable of going round corners unbelievably fast and really good acceleration. Brilliant fun, and a lovely looking little car. I'd done a module on the Elise in my degree - bonded aluminium chassis, pedals made from alloy extrusions, Rover K-series engine - so it was good to drive one. A bit minimalist inside. Or so I thought...
The Seven - anyone who's seen 'The Prisoner' will recognise this. An engine, two seats and some bodywork. That's it. Heater, roof, windows, and doors are for wimps. Achieves good acceleration by virtue of weighing about as much as a Twix, and corners like it's on rails.Very sensitive to driver input, and so raw and communicative. I've never driven anything like it.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
And the Ferrari. Very quick, very loud and very, very scary. The instructor was telling me to keep on the throttle - more power, more power, foot on the floor - but I just didn't dare. 400 bhp is too much on a track, so how anyone could drive this on the road I don't know.

That's blown my carbon allowance for the next decade or so. Still, I did get a cup of Tea while I was there. which justifies posting here. Perhaps...
