It was foggy out there when I got up. Felling a bit damp too so not sure I fancy being up a scaffold if it is damp. Plenty of other things to do if not.

Hmmmm, what is it about a fear of heights?
Yesterday, after a slow and nervous start I was up and down the scaffold like a monkey in a tree and quite happy standing on the top working.
Today, I was nervous to the point of shaking and I was only half way up mortaring around the cooker hood flue pipe. Even sitting down on two scaffold boards I couldn't let go of the scaffold to work two handed.
Oh well, time for a and then have another go at it.

Managed to get back up to the top of the scaffold and move some boards about to make a working platform.
Decided to call it a day then, as it was getting cold and exposed up there, and do some work indoors instead.

It's been a long day - three trike trips across town at work, a quick shower and change at home, a couple of slices of toast, then onto a train to NT's, where I am now, enjoying and awaiting a pizza from the oven.

I have another umbrella for you. This one is a big one, and indeed probably isn't broken enough to prevent it being used as an umbrella - it's got white, black and pink bits (all solid colour though and I think the pink is too small to be of much use)... would you like? (hoping it will fit on brompton in same fashion as broomsticks have done before
