Lovely :sun:ride home along the river, lots of people out and about made it a slower ride than normal with all the dog/jogger/ped dodging I had to do.
Ready for a :cuppa: and a bath.
What have we all been up to then?

Mmmm, :cuppa:

I have to fettle my trailer. I thought the handling was a bit off on the way home, and found that the spring in the hitch had come adrift from the drawbar, so the whole thing was being held on by the safety strap. I think I can fix it, although I don't know if I can fix it to the extent that it doesn't come adrift again....

Fortunately, if it's really beyond me, I think I know someone who can help...

The mass on my mums face has grown and looks ready to burst. She has spent most of the day sleeping. New course of antibiotics for an infection. Don't know what the next 24 hours will bring. :-(

Hmmm, there should be a bolt that holds the outer sleeve, a rubber bung and the end of the spring together. I guess I had better get on with the replacement hitch.

I've fettled it all back together - the loop on the end of the spring that goes round the bolt had come off the bolt. I've reattached it all, and also bent the loop slightly to close it up a little, but I think it may still be possible for it to come adrift again. I can use it, but I'll have to take it gently.

Brought 14 more tyres home from St Nicks, and called at Bike Rescue but there was no-one there. Will get those hooked blades out later and try de-beading a few.

But first, dinner. Not sure what yet, except it'll involve sausages.

We found a proper old spaghetti jar on the round today, the sort from the era when spaghetti was a yard long. I'm thinking that with a bit of design and fettling, and a string of LED lights, it might make an amusing lamp.

Coz it's what I need, more stuff....
