On the train home, when it stopped at Leeds, the conductor announced that he was sorry for the overcrowding and could everyone move down the carriages to let folk on.

I looked around my carriage, occupied by about 8 people, and wondered what overcrowding he was talking about...

Mind you, it often IS overcrowded, going the other way, so maybe it was just force of habit...
