NT, can I ask a stupid question? I've been watching as your tractor takes shape, and a fine sight it is. But what are you going to do with it when it's finished? (Sorry if I've missed the relevant posts)
Why have you got a tractor in your house?, doesn't sound a stupid question to me ^_^

Morning btw, looks like it's going to be another wet and miserable day here in Mancland, :rain:

It's not a stupid question at all.
I built the tractor with no land to use it on so that seems a pretty silly thing to do to begin with, especially as I built it in a basement workshop!:giggle:

I have been interested in and I am designing and building my own electric car but it is an expensive process that takes time to do and afford. So in the meantime I built the tractor as a learning curve and test bed. This came about because of a friend in the US who has built these.

However, I have an overly enthusiastic friend who has been telling some local organic farmers about my tractor and I am now on the brink of doing some field tests (pun intended)!
That will provide a whole host of information that will help me convert the first of the farm tractors to electric drive. If that is successful there is another, on the same farm, that I may be converting too and then the other organic farmers can decide if it is a viable venture for them too. Hopefully it will be the beginings of a tractor conversion business.

I hope I can keep them coming.

Last night my BP was 207/119.
I was shivering and shaking and out of breath. All I was doing was settling down to watch a film, Ip Man 2, while resting on the sofa.
This morning down a bit to 178/115.

I am just trying to get an emergency appointment for this afternoon as my heart was slow but pounding after helping a neighbour move his dining table across the room. Not a big table but I had to sit for a while before I get my heart to calm down.

Cheers, I am resting, meditating and watching a little light tv to bring my BP down, but I am torn. Part of me thinks I should keep it high so the GP has something worrying to measure to justify the emergency appointment.
I am taking (being taken by) my friend, who is worried about me and wants to get the GP to be more proactive in getting some serious tests done to see what is causing it. I am hoping that the GP will be ok with that.

Blimey NT, that's not good! I hope the doc comes up with some ideas.

I think, given that reading and your symptoms, and your previous high reading by the doctor, your appointment is justified. I fear they may just prescribe rest though. I also fear they may not regard tinkering with your tractor as rest - even though I know that for you it's more restful than enforced inactivity....

:hugs:

I hate to break this to you, but Beryl was seeing another man today - Bradshaws came to service her!

Interesting GP visit.
He still maintains that I am anxious and stressed and need to get into the psychology stuff to get better. He isn't at all bothered about how much or how hard I work so long as I am enjoying it and not stressed or worried abut anything while I am doing it.

I do have a referral for an ECG though, so I will have to phone up to book it. He says it is precautionary and believes it won't show anything.
I had one before, many years ago due to heart palpitations. That didn't show anything either and the advice was to reduce my coffee intake. I was only on 2 cups a week of instant!

I did also mention that my heart rate very rarely gets very fast, maybe up to 85bpm but mostly 60-65bpm, but does pound really heavily. He looked at me and suggested that I might just be really fit!

Ahhh, Beryl and I have an understanding, and an open relationship.

Well that's good news, at least.

My roof is leaking. Well, it was: hopefully the fix has actually fixed it.

Anyone for :cuppa:?

Well, that's sensible! After all, most of the work you do is theraputic for you.

Maybe you should drink more!

The trouble with tests like this is that if everything happens to be normal at the time, nothing shows up! My Mum was monitored several times for her palpitations, but always failed to conjour them up while on the monitor. Eventually, they caught her at it, so to speak, while she was at an appointment for something else completely!

I've always thought you were really fit...;)

And she looks so innocent....

Sausage and mash for tea, then more :cuppa:, and a kitkat.

We had a bit of luxury for lunch - randomly the boss decided to by fish and chips out of the tip money....

I've just been pointed towards the strangest product.
I couldn't possibly describe it (well, I could, obviously, but I'm not going to) and I'm astounded that anyone felt the need to invent it.
It's, well, lip colouring. No, not those lips :girl: Those lips. The reviews are hilarious...
