Lucky you CM. Enjoy yourself!

I'm on my first cuppa of the day. Must think about venturing out into the snow to finish my Christmas shopping.

Lunch. I have a cauldron of freshly made tomato & tarragon soup on the go and a fresh loaf (Kamut & white mix) on the go in the breadmaker. Lunch should be tasty and warming today!

S'mazin', I've had more close overtakes tonight than I think I've seen in the last several months.:shocks:

By contrast, I was fairly impressed with drivers yesterday, as I rode home at snail's pace, slowing to sloth's pace as I negociated a couple of small roundabouts. Each time drivers waited patiently behind me, and then passed well clear, and other drivers either passed well, or averagely.

Perhaps my slow speed, and the fact that I was riding well out to avoid the slushy edges of the road, made it more obvious that I was vulnerable.

Well, I've just finished my Christmas shopping, including train ticket home and a box of chestnuts to take home because mum couldn't find them in her local Sainsburys.

Just need to wrap it all now....

The chestnuts (the vacuum packed precooked type) were on 2 for £3, so I got myself a box too, what a treat.

Saw these guys busking in town, they were brilliant - just the thing to cheer on weary shoppers (how can you not smile at a euphonium?)

Sadly by the time I came back out of Borders (nothing of interest left...) they'd gone, and York was instead resonating to the amplified din of a psuedo-operatic male starlet, threatening any moment to break into Nessum Dorma.

Spot the people who've just finished watching Strictly Come Dancing;). I thought Ricky's show dance was somehow disappointing. Not enough dancing and too many lifts.

Taking the biscuit
Just tea please.xx(

The Good Lady is wrapping Christmas presents and I'm skulking around in here.
I'm going to do my wrapping tomorrow.

Is cycling in the cold more tiring? I've been doing roughly 20 miles a day since the start of this cold snap and although I'm fine on the bike I'm feeling knackered the rest of the time.

Personally it's all the stuff that has to be done between the cycling 20 miles a day that's making me feel tired at the moment. We've never been busier. I is knackered.

In a good way.

But knacked.

Thinking about all them nutters going for a swim today makes me feel better though xx(

Go Team Cola!!

The eight inches of snow outside is freezing hard.

*Note to self: refrain from making crude joke about having a hard eight inches outside... *

I awoke to a soft and fluffy 12 inches or so.
It looked very nice, glistening in the sunlight, but I was still frozen by the time I'd walked to work. ;)
I has a nice warming brew in hand at this very moment
