In this weather, I do not think that chocolate will keep until the weekend. :heat:
Just me that keeps my chocolate in the fridge then?

Just back from delivering about 1/2ton of fire wood logs to a friend.
I got stopped enroute by WVM who pointed out my nearside trailer wheel had a wobble.
I stopped to check it and found the wheel bearing was on its way out but had no tools to fix it. Carried on the last 2 miles to the drop at a slow speed and then looked at the bearing properly.
The balls had fallen out of the inner race.

Fortunately they were still in the brake drum so I cleaned and reassembled the bearings for the return trip. Will need to get a set of new bearings.
The existing ones are angular contact balls in a loose cage with a spacer between. I think I will see if I can replace them with taper roller bearings. If I can I will get four wheels sets, eight bearings, and upgrade both my trailers.

:cuppa:

It has been so warm, well over 20degC.

I have been to the scrap yard and got rid of the pile of car and some other bits but came back with one of these.

You really ought to get help for this addiction of yours.... ;)

I also tried a test of the trailer's strength.

The grimace is because the axle isn't the most comfy thing to sit balance on while Mum is trying to work out how to take a photo.
Time for :cuppa: and lunch :hungry:

With those wheelchair wheels, all you need is a wicker top and a jockey wheel for a bathchair, and we could take it to the seaside and take it in turns to push each other up and down the prom while the pushee wields an ear trumpet....

Yesterday was :heat:. Today was :heat::heat:. Am ingesting :cuppa: intraveneously....

Just spent time cutting the grass in the garden mowing the Amazon.:becool:

The upshot is that I have had 2 nesting Robins coming in and out of the garden, picking up insects for their brood making the most of the garden clearence.

Aren't you supposed to be resting ............... if this is resting I wouldn't want to see you when you are busy
My BP seems to be higher when I am resting and bored and lower when I am working hard. I told the doctor this and got permission to carry on bring my BP down.

Last night it was 140/90, that is top end of normal. The tablets probably help a bit.
Besides, I am happy and that helps the 'getting better' process.

Somewhere, a klaxon is going off, and an amber beacon revolving. Night Train's having an idea.....!

(I once worked for someone who was famous for having ideas, not always practical, or possible, or good, but which usually required a great deal of work and faff to prove this to him. We got hold of an orange beacon from a van we bought second hand, and did discuss rigging it up to a klaxon and a discrete button under someone's desk, for when we heard the words "Oh, I've had an idea....")
