Night Train

Maker of Things
I did think about carrying the unladen trailer but, as comfortable as it was it wouldn't be a good test of the trailer's ability on the road.

There was an interesting diversion where the cycle route was closed. Both signs say the same thing but the arrows point in opposite directions!

There wasn't much at the car boot so we left almost empty handed.
At the military show Arch found her new love.

A Steyr Puch Haflinger.

I bought a small winch and a little shackle, and a book on AEC Matadors. The bottom image on the back cover is just like the Matador I used to have.

It was a good day, not too many miles, nice and sunny, a little headwind. I also did the whole ride in my usual steel toe boots, jeans and tee shirt.
Tiddles developed a clicking noise in his folding pedal.

The trailer ran really well and fits through the wheelchair width restrictions. Very happy with it.

Phew, it's warm out there.
I am currently singing the praises of a well-populated spares heap.
I needed to fettle a folding BSO into some kind of rideable order. Unfortunately, it's designed for short people, so even I at a hardly-oversized (vertically, at least) 5' 7" needed waaaaaay more seatpost than was actually supplied. Had I owned a 400mm long, 25.0 mm diameter post I'd be home and dry, or at least home and vigorously towelling myself off.
However, using a Brompton Pentaclip let me move the saddle up an inch, and a sprung saddle off a hack I bought for £35 about six years back got me another inch and a half. Take the seatpost about half an inch past its recommended height, and I'm there!!
Yay!! for bodgery
