How close are Arch's nephews to the seaside? Does Arch have the correct competences regarding building sandcastles, and moats and putting up flags? I will be exceedingly jealous if Arch goes to the seaside for the day. It is one of the very few disadvantages of living here that the seaside is so far away. Burnham on Mud Sea would be the closest, but that is nothing to write home about.

We'll probably get to Southampton, but to IKEA, as it's a port more than a beach destination.

Oli has given me several lectures on dinosaurs, and Max keeps calling me 'baba' - grandma. He's a bit confused.

Due to a signalling failure at Micheldever (about 5 miles out of Winchester), I had to jog up from the station to be in time to dump my bag and head up with sis and Max to pick Oli up for school. Boy, was I ready for :cuppa: when we got back!

What have you done.........................?
Pulled a log from here:

To here:

The tractor was hopping and bouncing about looking for grip and then I heard the clicking of a lost tooth so I stopped.
It's the sort of log I can pull with my car, and will do tomorrow morning.

I will look for a Salisbury axle from a Land Rover and make it narrower.

Said he, casually.
There was me chuffed to bits to discover that a Carrera replaceable drop out (£8.99 from Halfords) fits (with a little judicious filing) onto an old Ribble winter frame. That's not engineering, it's just sensible bodgery.
