The dogs on the Malverns are (touching wood) usually all very friendly. This might be because they get so much exercise, or are used to lots of other dogs and people off the lead er.. I think you know what I mean.

It is why I like to walk there. So often in open countryside, loose dogs charge at me, however much I try to remain calm, in the face of their barking and jumping up and down. Dogs who walk on the Malverns are clever enough to know that if someone does not like dogs, just ignore them, and a bit later on they will encounter another dog or doggy person.

Oi, :girl: I said doggy, not dodgey. ;):girl:

My uncle and I left his dog on the top of Bennachie (near Aberdeen) a few years ago. We followed the wrong dog down. Only realised when we got to the bottom. So we had to go all the way up to the top again. Where his dog was very happy and making lots of new friends. OK, she was happy to see us again, after around 1.5 hours without us, but not really that bothered about us leaving her there. Mind you, she does love that climb.

No one seemed that concerned about a spare dog up there either.

Black Lab, in case you were wondering.

Tea is on here, and Christmas cake is in the offering. Join me downstairs if you wish.

Please do not pop round unexpectedly to Speicher Towers :blush: until further notice.:blush:

I have been tidying up. :blush: But somehow ended up in even more of a mess.
It started when I was looking for a fabric remnant for the pillowcase. :wacko:
Then I decided to put up my Calendars for this year and start editing a few Christmas cards, and then things sort of escalated. :wacko::sad::blush:

If there is anything you need, please ask me, and if I can find it I will let you know. It is a sort of reverse yabE :sad:. Say what you would like, and get it, without paying for it!

It is now a work in progress. Even the cats are hiding under the table, incase they get tidied away. :laugh:

If you need a spare button, please describe it to me, I am sure I will find some. Unfortunately, I am guessing that buttons are the reverse of cycles as it were. However many buttons you need I will only be able to find N-1 buttons. ;)

Ah yes, as you ask, I did find some fabric for the pillowcase. :smile:
and two walking sticks
about fifty jiffy bags/envelopes etc etc etc
ad infini item

There is a solution to this. When looking for buttons, always say, in a loud voice "Now, I need (n+1) of these...." You will therefore always find n. We've done this for years sucessfully. Applies to anything similar like screws, nails, spoons etc...

Tea anyone? I actually had a cup of co**ee earlier, very unusual for me, but I fancy tea now.... I've been tidying and filing too, still not found my 4mm needles though.

I've also got round to washing my fleece hat and gloves. I am mortified with embarrassment at how many changes of washing and rinsing water it got to get clear water! If I'm very clever, I'll remember to darn the hole in one finger.

And yes, I saw the end last night, and yes I cried. Not at the dying, or the replacement by someone only just too old for a young person's railcard, but at the going around saying goodbye....:biggrin:

:rolleyes:

<sniff>

I'll put that kettle on.

* passes Arch a clean hankie *

That would seam to be the solution, search for n + 1 buttons. :biggrin:

I found a use for one of the walking sticks. ;) The switch for the extractor fan is very high up, and needs something firm and long :tongue: to press the switch with. It had to be a male electrician who put the switch in such an inaccessible place. :rolleyes:

The jiffy envelope might go to Oxfam for their on-line sales in Ebay. I found a spare watch strap for the teddy watch, but it is a smidgeon too wide. :biggrin:

When I was an electrician (a male one) we sometimes had to put switches for extractor fans high up out of the way as it was a switch for servicing when the fan had a timer or humidity controller for it. It stopped the householder from switching it off when it needed to be left on.

Justr back from Norwich. Mr WC finally realised that when it comes to decorating the house, I have much better judgement than him. So we now have replacement decorating supplies. *chortle* Oh and we went off looking at cars. Mr WC is thinking of changing his, so we went looking. He's arranged a test drive of a Lexus. Looks a nice car.

I think more tea's going to be needed. It's been snowing here again! I shut the curtains for an hour and when I next looked out everywhere was covered in white stuff again.;) I'm getting seriously cheesed off with the weather.

It has been lovely and sunny here in London Helen - ideal day for a spin up and down, around and about - not cold, just beautiful. When the nicer weather comes, your scenery will outstrip anything that the smoke has to offer, so be patient...

I rewarded myself on returning with a beer, then a pot of expresso (not TEA, coffeeeeeeeee!)
Actually, I did fancy another beer, but drinking the coffee seems to have put the mochas on that idea...;)

A bit bracing but yes, a lovely day out there. It's gone a bit dark now.:laugh:

Playing with video file converters and my new DV camera, watch out idiot motons I have you in my sights!:laugh:

A cuppa wouldn't go amiss.;)
