At least these days, with phones and email and stuff, it's easy to keep in touch.

My sister just emailed me a pic of her and the boys waiting to watch the Road Race. And eating crisps.

When my brother went away to study it seemed very quiet at home after the first day. He only went from London to Coventry, 100 miles or so and we saw him most weekends. That was back in the early 80's.

Usually,my sister in not home most of the time,college,friends,etc,etc,but atleast she used to be there for a few squabbles

I remember similar when my sister moved out to move down south and move in with her other half.

And it was a few years later when I finally left home to come to Uni. I imagine the house felt very empty to Mum when she got home from dropping me off...

Just been out shopping, in between the showers, and bought a pair of red Bikemate panniers from Aldi for £5.

now and just in time to watch the closing miles of the road race*.



*What am I saying? I don't watch cycle racing!

But this is the Limpics! The whole point is to watch stuff you don't normally, get hooked for a fortnight and them forget about it for 4 years....
