Oh well, :cuppa: and a shower, and then bed.

I was going to ask if the "corner" was the turning into the crisps lane in Aldi

The corner in question probably had this round it:

I've walked back from the physio this morning, about a mile all in including the wondering about in the hospital. I had to stop 5 times during the 0.8 mile walk home and got a mild vertigo attack at a junction where there was too many directions to watch out for to check it was safe to cross. Feeling very  now but resting on the sofa with a :cuppa:. I did fancy a bacon sandwich but I think I would xx( if I did.

Still, I have a big yellow rubber band, from the physio, to play with and an earlier appointment (this Friday) to see if I can loose the boot.

*backs slowly away*

:hugs: and :cuppa: for NT in exchange for further explanation of this big yellow band?????
The yellow band is a strip of silicone (?) rubber that is about 1m long and 100mm wide and very slightly thicker then balloon rubber. It is very wobbly and has huge comedic potential!

I have to exercise while sitting with my legs out stretched on the sofa and with a cushion under my calves and knees.
One of the exercises is to hold onto the ends of the band, with the ball of my foot in it like a stirrup. I am then to point my foot against the pull of the rubber to as much tension as I can manage and repeat 5 times.
The other exercise is to have the stirrup again but to pass the band behind my other foot so that when I pull on the band my feet are pulled towards each other. I then have to rotate my foot outwards against the tension of band 10 times.

That is all I am allowed to do for now, twice a day, along with the stretching exercises. The physio said she can't offer me any more exercise until the consultant allows me to loose the boot, hence getting the appointment for Friday.

Thank you for the :cuppa:

I am assuming that you will have one thin and one fatter leg, so how are they planning on fattening up the booted leg to match the other one or will it just happen over time ?
