I don't want to see another mini pork pie or sausage roll for 51 weeks....

Sorry, I don't understand....

Well, I'm home. Nice easy trip back, not crowded. Even bought a :cuppa: on the train to go with my Mars Bar, and it was virtually drinkable!

Lots of fields of water once I was in the Vale of York. And the river is well up again.

I walked back through town wondering if the bank would be open to pay a cheque in. It wasn't, but BHS was, and I wandered in and picked up a couple of new pairs of jeans, relatively painfree (if I don't find what I want in a few minutes, I get in a huff and have to be fed chocolate or cake.)

Got a proper :cuppa: now.

I have had a really lovely Christmas and I hope you all have also had a good one. The cards are in recycle, pack up and bag sorted for tomorrow, back to normality. Even Merlot is back on biccy rations as from tomorrow.

Yeah, it's back to reality now. It's been fabulous, 10 whole days together, doing a wide range of stuff (both fun and work!). Got to pick up a hire van tomorrow on the way in to work, as we're anticipating double the stuff to collect. It's going to be a short week, but could be a busy one!

Some of us have been doing a bit of emergency demolition and rebuilding.

I hate the fact that water on the stone sill outside the window flows inwards and gets under the window frame.
More so I hate that the people who fitted my windows did such a crappy job of it that I can't remove the window to fix it properly.

Have you got to re-render any of that wall?
