Tea I can do, even with two sugars at a stretch. For medicinal purposes, of course - it's really not good for your teeth...

But gardening.. not really my province. I can only think of one way to find out if your plants will recover: wait and see.

Gromit will be along in a minute. She should know. And if she doesn't, looking it up will be good for her Education.

Hiya Speicher, not to worry a lot of plants have gone into dormancy during the harsh winter, hopefully when the weather warms up they will come back to life.

I got a call a few weeks ago from my friend Sarah with the same problem, I went round and everything seemed OK, but look terrible.

I have just been in the yard transplanting an Acer into a larger pot, there are little buds coming out already, so we are not far off spring. ;)

Speicher, I sympathise with you; I too have a headache. I've just been to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea but made the mistake of looking into the kettle. It looks horrible in there; I have resorted to hot chocolate from the vending machine.

If anyone else is making tea, may I have a cup too? No sugar, just a little milk. Thanks.

Is that the same text as his blog entries on the sujb? He's very inspiring, somehow, isn't he? I'd been having similar ideas.

Not to worry, though, we have some years to change our minds.

It is the same text (lightly proof read and copy edited by me and Auntie Helen), with additional pictures and maps, and foreword and stuff.

There's a nice bit when he sees the first sharp hill of the trip, at Crayke, and he's hoping the left turn he needs is at the bottom of it, but it isn't and then proves to keep going upwards after the turn. I could sympathise with that!

Bits of it sound absolutely miserable, but somehow you forget them - much like on a real ride I guess, once you're back and the kettle is on, everything seems fine...

Talking of which.... I'll put the kettle on....

Hmmm. We know that hill well.

It's burned into my knees, and I've only done it once!

Morning all!

Pretty sure this morning's "hydration pack" got some funny looks on the way to work:

Hello all,

Dig, dig, dig, dig and dig some more. I went a digging on the allotment today, its dryer than it was on Saturday.

My hands are a bit stingy from picking up nettles at least they feel warm.

Anyone want any tea? No pancakes for me today, Bikepete will not be getting back from his travels until 9pm, so I have enough time to tidy the house before he gets back.

Just thought I still could make the batter and wait till he gets in to eat them.
