Anode is going to see TED (The Evil Doctor) this afternoon. Anode is still limping, although perky but seems a bit *hot* Plus close inspection of her feet reveals some pink patches on the base of the foot. I am hoping it's nothing serious and not early bumblefoot. On the plus side, if it is bumblefoot, it's caught early and antibiotics should hopefully do the trick.

No, not *that* evil doctor. All vets are known as TED :smile:

The only thing that worries me is that sometimes vets can be a bit overly forthcoming with the 'it's only a chicken so there's nothing we can do, best to stop it suffering' as opposed to treating it as a pet, if you see what I mean. So I am disconcerted. If it is bumblefoot, Anode needs it treated early to stop it becoming seriously bad and it is entirely possible for bumblefoot to be treated early. BUT, it can be a drawn-out jobbie, requiring more than the usual week of antibiotics. Of course, it may not be bumblefoot, but something else entirely. So it's off to the vet we go.
