I had to look this up. Apparently Tove Jansen was Finnish but came from the Swedish speaking minority. Does that make the Moomins Swedish or Finnish?

I would suggest it is a bit late at night for such complexities, Renard. The Moomins could be like the Sami, and occupy a bit of each of two countries, IIRC.

I have just been watching (and recording) Wallender in Swedish on BBC4, with subtitles I hasten to add. His dog is called Jussi.

Don't be too hard on yourself Gromit. I'm sure most of us are guilty of procrastinating at times. Have some tea then get some work done. I don't blame you for being jealous of Bikepete and Arch though.

It's been a super nice day here today. I've been a bit cream crackered tho' as I've done 4 days out of 5 on the bike with the non cycling day being full on gardening. I need a rest (and a cuppa).

Ah - I made two mega sized rhubarb crumbles for Dins. Only 3 home to eat but we more or less demolished one crumble and the other will disappear tomorrow
