I know this may sound a bit selfish but my partner is living just a 10 min walk from the northern limit of the exclusion zone.

But I hate to see a country that I love tearing itself apart un-neccassarily

Hmmph - haven't really followed what the problem is but isn't it something to do with "nasty" government. In that case it may be necessary........ Let's hope it all gets sorted before worse happens.

I've been stuck indoors today - bluddy viral bug thing - I feels cr&p. But compared to some Thai's I'm OK

It's actually the opposition who have caused the major problems. The BBC has been sharply criticized by a lot of people, including the Thai government for their very biased reporting. The government have actually bent over backwards to appease the redshirts but the redshirts keep changing their mind. The government basically said no more last week and many hardliners in the redshirts are the ones causing the problems.

Nothing to do with nasty government.

Thanks CM - As I said, I'm not really up to speed and the BeeB is probably where I got my impression from. Looks like the army have "sorted" something. Lets hope we get an outbreak of common sense now.

Been planting beans today. And sweet corn and am sorting trench out for courgettes. Just stopped for a cuppa. Bug is still with me but I have a bit of energy back.
