Happened to both me and the missus.. right pain in the arse.. but to be fair the CC company were top notch at sorting it out.

Yes, the bank is seeming to be proactive. They got in contact & said "suspicious activity!" plus said that part of major plod investigation. As I haven't used my card online for a long while, I have a sneaking suspicion it's a machine fraud at a major UK retailer... but I have no proof of that, so I could be wrong.

I am very lucky in that it is still sunny in the garden until about 7pm, so I usually imbibe a light sparkling wine around that time, or while preparing a meal. One of my neighbours has very kindly put a picnic table (one with chairs attached to it) on the corner of the field at the backs of the garden. This is on the edge of an enormous field, and then (because the garden goes uphill slightly) I could enjoy sunny evenings until very late.

He also very kindly strims the grass at the edge of the field, making it a very nice area to sit in. From this picnic table, with a pair of binoculars in hand I might be able to see anyone who is cycling up the Malverns.

Sounds very pleasant. And it is of course Mr Benn who does the strimming. Be careful with those binoculars . Lots of dodgy people about in the Malverns I've heard, although the cyclists will be fine I'm sure

"Wiv a ladder and some glasses, I could see to 'ackney marshes, if it wasn't for the houses inbetween..."

26x25: That's all very well, but when CC commissions a full scale elephant carving, and I produce one, where's it going to go? For that matter, how do I get it downstairs to deliver it?

I've remembered that I made a few Fimo things for the dolls house when I was younger (it was a hobby, rather than a plaything). I was quite proud of my 1/16th scale aubergine.

I'm looking forward to Oli being old enough for playdoh/plasticine....

Talking of which, Grandma took her cousin down to Winch to visit for the day today. Oli spent all morning asking "Is grandma here yet?" and when they arrived, ran up to her and asked "Grandma, do you want an ice lolly?"

Such simple priorities at that age.

Now Arch it's quite simple. CC would house your sculpture in the Foyer and if you sculpt a baby elephant its mother would lead it downstairs for you. Or you could dangle a sculpted Aubergine on a stick in front of the elephant - as per carrot and donkey.

And of course you now need all the practice you can get for Oli's sake

Bad and good news. Bad - cloned . Good - bank sorting it .

I've just opened my Credit card statement and two items on there look a bit ?????? Might be #2 daughter tho' as she does "borrow" it sometimes  She should be expecting the "Spanish Inquistion" tho'.

Have checked last statements for anything ddgy - nothing - which means it's very, very recent - so picked up swiftly by the bank. The bank doing something positive. How unusual!

Well, the bags are packed, the leftover chinese takeway and milkless tea (ran out last night) have been consumed, I'm pretty much ready to go.

Way too early. Aiming to be 50 miles away about 6pm. Even allowing for dawdling and detours, I don't need to set out for an hour or more.

Which gives me an hour to fret/remember things I really must take, despite having no more room in my bags...
