Morning, peeps! Where has the big yellow ball gone from the sky?

It's in Quebec! I've had a gorgeous couple of days of sunny, traffic-free riding along the Route Verte. I wish we had paths like that back home, but the UK's a tad smaller than Canada so I guess it's more difficult.

Good luck with the CBT Wafflycat, and welcome back Arch:smile:. I'm looking forward to the Crazyguy journal.

Morning!

And thank you for the good wishes for my forthcoming CBT, Helen.

There is a slight hint of a blue sky & yellow ball in the sky this morning - but only a very slight hint.

I'm baking as I'm doing a lunch, later, for some cyclists doing a 600km audax this weekend.

Soup, savoury scones (cheese & chive), flapjacks, spiced rock buns, fruit, beverages. They should have plenty of carbs in that lot I would think.

I'll be round at one...

Grey here, with a hint of damp. It's York Rally again, so I expect gale force winds and torrential rain later.

I saw the FNRttCers off last night, wished I was going all the way. Never seen so many cyclists in a bunch at night.

Now, now, no posts since yesterday!? This won't do!

I'm having a fortifying tea before heading of for breakfast (not saying where, except, M**D******) with a couple of rally mates, before joining the Grand Parade. Or not joining it and making our own way, if it looks like being like last year's fiasco.

Felt a bit quiet (and cold!) yesterday, but I got a couple of useful purchases - new panniers, a set of lights to keep with the trike, and a couple of handlebar spacers to help fit them - may get another today so as to have two rear light mountings.

The Dash has been much admired - it makes it a bit difficult to actually go anywhere on it for the questions....

Morning all!

I've slept! Goodness that feels better after FNRttC followed by a day playing polo at the Sheffield bike festival! I think I only made it through by snagging a whole crate of a well-known energy drink from the promo girls!

Skim reading, I seriously mis-read that last line!

I gather the ride was a success? Looks great from the photos.

Brilliant!
First one I'd done but it went so smoothly. Only problem I had was forgetting my waterproof, but the rain stayed away!
I think a few folk had problems with their journeys home as some scrotes had nicked the cables somewhere between Scunthorpe and Doncaster, and we were a bit worried we'd not make it back to Sheffield in time but thankfully my slightly dishevelled and snoring body was delivered home just a little later than expected.

Yeah, I head about the cables first thing from Uncle Phil who I saw at the Rally having got a lift back. Bit of a worry, but seems everyone got out ok. At least I hope no one is still stuck in Cleesthorpes!

Right, better go!
