Yes please! I'm just back from 60 miles on the trike, which included Nunburnholme hill. Twice. I'm in training for the Big G sportive.

I read somewhere on here that chocolate milkshake was a goodd recovery drink, so I bought one on the way home, and I've just quaffed it. I'm ready for tea now.

Any scones, cream and jam in the fridge?

Dunno. I had one earlier, but I think it'scone now.

60 miles eh? Well done. I'm doing about that tomorrow - Cambridge and back, I reckon. I just need to go and fettle the Carbon Uberbike - I've not ridden it since the Autumn.

Never mind. I'll switch to pastis and grignottes then. (Both virtual, as I have none of either in the house)

I'm thinking chips for dinner. I mean, one must keep up the healthy lifestyle.

I hope you're taking the picnic in A Handbag?!

Sounds lovely, fingers crossed for the weather.

One of my eternal regrets involves an outdoor concert, at Hampstead Heath. The party picnicing in front of us were very loud, pissed, hooray henries and henriettas, and had to be shushed several times. Eventually they all fell asleep or into a waking stupor, and one girl had kicked off her shoes, which were lying very near our blanket.

In an alternative universe, I really do fill the toe of each shoe with leftover houmous and guacamole.

Ummmm......

Just enjoying a very large cup of Earl Grey.

Its normally PG in the kitchen cupboards, but my wife bought a pack of my favorite yesterday and so I'm really enjoying this cuppa.

I'm afraid I didn't use the teapot, so I don't have any to pour you guys - sorry!

Doesn't look like there are many takers for tea anyway.

I was foiled last night, the chippie was shut. So I had Chinese. And then felt too tired to sit and write up any more journal, so I watched Midsommer Murders and read a book.

I've just been out shopping, and bought all the ingredients for a healthy salad dinner tonight. And a bottle of chocolate milk.

Sounds like the house is coming together nicely, Landers.
I've just had a very pleasant (but rather warm) amble to Cambridge.
On the way, I passed a load of abandoned bike bits dumped by the side of the road.
I was appalled at the sheer thoughtlessness of this, and then I noticed a QR skewer I could liberate...
Free bits are good bits.

And the oven's in!

We just need to "burn the new off it"...

I was going to say, I thought you'd said "put a bun in it" and then I remembered that I once referred to Mrs Landslide ahead of time, but strangely prophetically...
