Morning all! I know it's a Sunday and what with a lie-in an' all, but the tea room is looking a bit empty these days.

In which case I get all the choccie-biccies

*scompf*

many points in a biscuit? ;)

I actually slept in today. Most weekends I have something to get up for, or I don't but I wake early anyway. Today it 9..30 before I got up, and I've just had a bacon sarnie and toast, and tea. Off out later to watch some of the city centre racing, and to the cinema tonight. I might take the bike for a loop out, but I'm having a lazy weekend. I think I'll have another tea before I think about it.

Not been this lazy for ages, what with training and sportives and the holiday and Mum visiting.

Save me a biscuit!

Depends on the biccie!

I'm just back in from the garden, having collected today's offering of three newly-laid ovoid treasures and a large amount of broccoli, green beans and courgettes. So today's roast will be well accompanied by loads of delicious veggies.

Hmm, it is quiet in here nowadays. I don't get to pop in very often and it's usually after hours.

My tea drinking is severely depleted being in coffee drinking Canada. And I have a new companion who likes the occasional beer. I've finally met up with a British woman called Liz who is also cycling west across Canada. We've been e-mailing and following each others' blogs for nearly 8 weeks and she caught my up on the eastern side of Lake Superior. She was told I was ahead of her and happened across a comment I'd left on warmshowers.org. Isn't the power of the internet amazing.

Mornings!!
I had a somewhat warm 40-mile ride yesterday, puntuated by a unexpected explosion from the rear annular suspension system and a fly-by stinging from a passing wasp.
Inner tubes make quite a bang when 120 psi makes a sudden bid for freedom. The tube didn't have a p**cture so much as a crater...
Brew?

Brew? yes please, but preferably of the non-tea beverage. I spent yesterday with my mother.

I tried to sort out her telephone that is not working properly. Then other problems too boring to detail here. My head exploded sometime yesterday. I think I brought all the pieces back home with me, and will be trying to put it back together today.

On a much lighter note, on Friday, at the recycling Centre there were some items sorted by size. The Sizes were labelled as Large, Medium, Ickleish, and very Ickle.

That's brilliant!

Yeah, it's quiet in here and on the forum generally - I think we're all out riding our bikes and stuff... Nevermind, it'll soon be winter again...

My boss hobbled in today on his crutches, and discovered he'd miscalculated how much holiday I had left - 5 days instead of 11... Take off the 4 we'll use having the xmas week left... Luckily he's fine about me borrowing some days from next year so that I can get down to my sister's in the autumn...

He said was I going to beat him to a pulp for the mistake, and I said yes, but I'd leave his poorly ankle alone.... ;)

I am sure I saw it somewhere. Where is the bit where you can link into the Amazon site, and a percentage of the sale goes to CycleChat? Could someone tell me please.

Ah, I dunno. I think it's a bit harder to find now. I remember someone linking to it recently.

I'll see if I can turn it up...

Good lord, has no one had a cup of tea since yesterday?

I'll put the kettle on, once I've evicted the family of robins that have nested in it.

Today at work, we rewrote the periodic table. H now stands for Potato, C for Cheese, and O for Onion.

Yeah, it's a long story....

Surely C for potato, RL for cheese and O for onion?

BS is what has been sprayed on the field at the end of my garden. There is an 'orrible pong!!!!

Yes, really, it is not me!

<peg on nose>

I dever tort it was you....

The whole cheese/onion/potato discussion came about over the time taken to microwave a day old pasty, and whether the age of the pasty affected the strength of the nuclear bonds between cheese and onion. We have some funny conversations. Gets us through the day.
