Hmm, you do realise those are the Chinese 100 year old pickled eggs?

Morning all! Overslept a bit this morning, so didn't have time for much detouring along the way to make the miles up - just two laps of Audax Close (yes, really), and an explore to the nearer reaches of the retail park. It's daft, we've out here for months, but I still have very little idea of what actually makes up Clifton Moor....

Not much tea served today then?

I had the amusement on the way home of seeing a car that had tried to get past the rising bollard on Stonebow. It hadn't gone well.

Morning all!

*enters tearoom after kicking off wellies and leaving them outside*

In need of tea after giving the hens their brekkie, cleaning out the henhouse and then feeding the cats

*removes random bits of straw from hair*

I fancy a cup of spiced tea this morning. Anyone care to join me?

Named after the Hawker biplane?

Yes - the whole business park used to be an airfield - our office is on Amy Johnson Way, and there are Seafire, Auster and Concorde named roads, among others.

Tea? I've just made a cup. I'm having a freegan dinner - a tin of chicken tikka massala I found this week, unopened, in a recycling box. Got some rice, yoghurt and naan to go with it.

Have you checked the date? 1979 is my guess

Then you're a lousy guesser. 2010!

The two tins of soup are 2009, but frankly with tinned, dates are a bit OTT.

It was quite nice. I had rice and naan, and some yoghurt on the side, and some mango chutney. I have half a tin left for tomorrow too. Two free meals!

Evening! Tonight this message comes from the original home of Winnie the Pooh. There's a statue (after a bit of arguing with Disney), a couple of truck stops and some motels. That's the exciting kind of place I'm cycling through at the moment. But I did find a decent cup of tea and we're allowed to camp for free at the Tourist Info place. And I have a cycling partner. Another British woman called Liz has finally caught me up and I fear will lead me astray with lots of beer drinking:biggrin:.
